Rose Show & Festival

Celebrating 97 Years

March 26, 2018

The 97th Annual Rose Show and Festival is coming to Thomasville, April 26th-28th

The festival kicks off with the Children’s Rose Bud Parade on Thursday, April 26th at 7:00PM. Quite possibly the cutest parade in all of South Georgia, the Rose Bud Parade features dozens of community children’s organizations, clubs, and after-school programs parading through historic downtown Thomasville.

Friday the 27th brings the Rose Parade- a larger community parade celebrating all things Thomasville! - followed by the annual Street Dance with music by the Swingin Medallions!  This family-friendly event encourages everyone to boogie the night away and ends with a spectacular fireworks display.

Rounding out the Festival on Saturday, April 28th, is a packed schedule of fun events beginning at 10am with Art in the Park.  Held in Paradise Park, Art in the Park hosts dozens of food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, and free children’s activities.  Macaroni Kid Thomasville, You’re Maker, Fuzzy Goat, and Pottery Frenzy will all lead free hands-on crafts throughout the day.  The Thomas County Public Library will host story times at 10:30am and 11:30am that you won’t want to miss.  An amazing BMX bike show, face painting, games, and live music will also be scattered throughout the event, making Paradise Park a “can’t miss!” destination.

The Annual Show and Shine Car and Truck Show will also be held Saturday in downtown Thomasville.  Featuring new, restored, and vintage vehicles, the Show and Shine is always impressive.

End your afternoon at the Park and Amphitheater where you can enjoy live music by the Grains of Sand Band, as well as a photo op with real unicorns (yupp, you read that correctly!).

The 97th Annual Rose Show and Festival features many more incredible, free, and fun activities.  For a complete event listing, visit www.thomasvillega.com or call the Thomasville Visitors Center at 229-228-7977.
